The Initiative
'Taking on the World' ("TOTW") is REP Group's 2024 initiative for Mental Health Awareness Week, which starts Monday 13th May. Through TOTW we are looking to connect the creative arts from music to writing, with the aim of inspiring self-care and personal growth.
REP Group have been privileged to work with students at Leeds Beckett University (UK) in developing our programs anthem; a reimagining of the 1989 hit by GUN, called 'Taking on the World'. The track will be released on Friday 10th May 2024. Please pre-order your copy now below.
This year we will be donating 25% of all proceeds to the UK mental health support charity Sane. Sane aim to raise awareness, fight to improve services, provide emotional support and host research into mental health.
We are providing up to 1,000 licences free of charge for our proprietary App, based on a 3 month period, to all participating UK Universities and Colleges; and 100 free licences to all other organisations, with a 25% discount for all user licences in excess of the free issue.
We are providing a wellbeing executive summary (qualitative and quantitative) for all participating UK organisations at completion of the initiative.
For all subscribers between the ages of 16 and 24 we are offering a range of prizes for the best submission. From the opportunity to undertake an adventure expedition, to a publishing contract or a Perspectives Books gift packages.
We are providing a digital publicity package to each participating institution and organisation, including information sheets, template emails, TOTW pamphlets, music video and music audio.
Through Perspectives Books we will be publishing one or more anthologies of modern day life based on submissions where authors have consented. Closing the loop this way demonstrates our commitment to evoking change.
25% of all proceeds from sales of the music record 'Taking on the World' and the future 'student life' books will be donated to the UK charity Sane.
